Your account information falls into two groups: operational details you can edit directly, and legal or tax details that, by regulation, require Conekta to validate documents before the change is applied. Knowing which group your detail falls into tells you what to expect.

Who this applies to

Any active account that needs to correct or update its information. Only a person with the administrator role can request changes.

Details you can edit directly

  • Trade name: the name your customers know you by.
  • Business description and line of business: what you sell and how you sell it.
  • Contact details: phone number, operational email, and contact people.
  • Website and social media: your business's public URLs.

These changes are saved immediately and do not interrupt your charges or your payouts.

Details that require a new validation

  • Legal name or entity type: for example, switching from individual to legal entity.
  • RFC and tax address: they must match your current tax status certificate (constancia de situación fiscal).
  • Legal representative: requires the power of attorney and the ID of the new person.
  • Bank account: where you receive your payouts; it has its own process.

In these cases, the Conekta Panel will ask you for documents that support the change. The review is usually resolved within a few business days, and you will receive confirmation by email.

What happens next

While the validation is in progress, your account keeps operating with the previous information; charges do not stop. If the change affects your invoices, also check How to update my tax information so your receipts are issued with the correct information.
