If your business changed its tax regime, legal business name, or tax address, update the information in your account as soon as possible: Conekta issues your invoices with the registered information, and outdated data produces CFDI that your accounting won't be able to use.

Before you start

  • Download your most recent tax status certificate (constancia de situación fiscal) from the SAT portal.
  • Make sure you have a role with administrator permissions on the account.

Steps

En Panel Conekta: Settings → Account → Tax information

  1. Open the tax information section

In your account settings you'll find the information used to issue your invoices: RFC, legal business name, tax regime, and the ZIP code of your tax address.

  2. Enter the new information

Enter the information exactly as it appears on your certificate: the legal business name without abbreviating the entity type differently, the current tax regime, and the tax ZIP code (not the commercial one).

  3. Attach the documentation

Upload your recent tax status certificate. If the change involves a new legal business name or RFC, Conekta may request additional legal documentation to validate the change.

  4. Submit and wait for validation

The change goes through a brief review. You'll receive a confirmation in the Conekta Panel and by email once it's applied.

When the changes take effect

The new information is used on invoices issued after the change is validated. Invoices already issued are not corrected automatically: if you need to correct a previous period, request it by following What to do if an invoice has incorrect information.
