To activate your account, Conekta needs to verify your business's identity. The exact documents depend on whether you operate as an individual or a legal entity; this guide summarizes what is usually requested.
Who this applies to
Every new account before it can charge in production, and existing accounts when they update legal, tax, or banking information.
Requirements
If you operate as an individual with business activity:
- Valid official ID (INE or passport).
- Recent tax status certificate (constancia de situación fiscal).
- Proof of address no older than 3 months.
- Bank statement in the account holder's name.
If you operate as a legal entity, the following is also requested:
- The company's articles of incorporation.
- The legal representative's power of attorney and that person's official ID.
- Tax and bank documents in the company's name.
Exceptions
Some lines of business or transaction volumes may require additional information during the review. If that's your case, Conekta will ask you for it directly in the Conekta Panel or by email.
What happens next
With complete documents, the review is usually resolved within a few business days. You can track its progress from the Conekta Panel; see What it means when my account is approved, pending, or rejected.
