Notifications alert you by email when something relevant happens in your account, without you having to keep checking the Conekta Panel. Set up well, they let you know about a chargeback or a payout in time; set up poorly, they become noise nobody reads.

Which notifications are available

  • Payments: confirmation of payments received and activity summaries.
  • Payouts: an alert when your money has been sent to your bank.
  • Chargebacks and disputes: an immediate alert when you receive a chargeback and reminders of response deadlines.
  • Security: new sign-ins, password changes, and user changes.
  • Product and news: announcements of new features; these are optional.

Who can receive them

Each user on the account sets up their own notifications according to their role: whoever handles payments can turn on only the charge notifications, and whoever handles finances, the payout ones. Notifications go to each user's email, so if someone else on your team needs to receive them, invite them to the account first.

En Panel Conekta: Settings → Notifications

Steps

  1. Open the notification settings

In the Conekta Panel, go to the notifications section of your settings.

  2. Turn each category on or off

Turn on the ones you need for your role and turn off the ones that don't add value. Changes apply only to your user.

  3. Check that they arrive

After the next event (a test payment, for example), confirm that the email arrived. If it doesn't show up, check your spam folder and add Conekta's domains to your safe senders.

Next step

If your system needs to react automatically to these events (not just notify you by email), webhooks are the way to go: see Why I need webhooks if I can already check the Panel.
