Reconciling Conekta's invoice against your reports confirms that what was invoiced matches what was actually deducted from your transactions. It takes just minutes if you compare the right fields for the same period.

Before you start

  • Download the invoice (PDF and XML) for the period you are going to reconcile.
  • Export the transactions report for the same period with the fee and VAT (IVA) columns.

Steps

  1. Align the period

Filter your report using the exact dates of the invoiced period. Most discrepancies come from here: a transaction on the last day of the month may fall in the next period depending on its processing date.

  2. Compare the subtotal against the fees

Add up the fee column (and service charges, if any) in your report. The total must match the subtotal on the invoice, before taxes.

  3. Compare the VAT

Add up the VAT column for the fees in the report and compare it with the transferred tax on the CFDI. Small differences of a few cents may be due to rounding per transaction versus rounding of the total.

  4. Review the period's adjustments

If there were refunds with fee reversals or corrections, identify them as negative movements in the report and verify that the invoice (or its credit note) reflects them.

Expected result

Subtotal and VAT reconciled against your report, with each adjustment identified. With that, you can record the invoice in your accounting with full backup.
