Before you charge your first real customer, it's worth going through this list. Each item prevents a typical first-days problem: payments you can't receive, money you don't know when to expect, or buyers who don't recognize the charge.

Your account

  • Account approved: check in the Panel that your account has passed review. Without approval, you can only operate in the test environment.
  • Bank account registered and validated: that's where your payouts will arrive. If you haven't registered it yet, do so before charging so your first deposit isn't delayed.
  • Products enabled: confirm that the payment methods you want to accept (card, bank transfer, cash) show as active on your account.

How you charge

  • Test charge completed: run at least one complete transaction in the test environment to get to know the flow before a customer goes through it.
  • Recognizable charge description: make sure the name your buyers will see on their statement clearly identifies your business.

Your customers' experience

  • Defined support channel: decide how your buyers will reach you if they have questions about their payment, and publish it on your website or social media.
  • Clear refund policy: define in which cases you return money and how long it takes. Communicating it in advance prevents disputes.
