During onboarding, your account goes through an identity and compliance review. The status you see in the Conekta Panel summarizes where that review stands and what you can do in the meantime.
The statuses and what to do in each one
- Pending (under review)
Conekta is validating your information and documents. You don't need to do anything; it typically takes a few business days. In the meantime, you can explore the Panel and prepare your integration.
- Additional information required
The review found something that needs clarification: an illegible document, details that don't match, or missing information. Review the details in the Panel and resubmit what was requested — the review resumes automatically.
- Approved
Your account is active and you can charge real customers. The next step is to choose how you'll collect payments and verify your bank account to receive payouts.
- Rejected
The account couldn't be activated with the information provided. The Panel shows the general reason; if you believe it's a mistake or you can fix the cause, contact Support to learn about your options.
How long does the review take?
Usually a few business days from when you submit all the documents. Times may vary depending on the type of business and the volume of applications.
Can I charge customers while my account is pending?
You can run tests in the test environment, but real charges are enabled only once the account is approved.
Why was I asked for additional information?
It's a normal part of the review: some accounts require clarifications to meet identity and fraud-prevention checks. Responding promptly speeds up activation.
Has your account been under review for a long time?
If more days than expected have passed without an update, Support can check the status of your case.
