Reports are generated in the background: when you request one, it enters a processing queue and the file appears once it's done. Most are ready within a few minutes, but some factors make it take longer. These are the most common causes.
Most likely causes
- The date range is very wide
A report covering several months processes many more transactions than a weekly one. If you don't need the whole period at once, split the request into monthly ranges: each file generates faster and is easier to review.
- Your account has a high transaction volume
The more payments in the period, the longer the processing time. It's normal for accounts with thousands of transactions to wait longer than low-volume ones; applying filters (payment method, status) reduces the file size.
- There are several reports in the queue
Requests are processed in order. If you requested several reports in a row, wait for the first one to finish before requesting it again: requesting the same report again doesn't speed it up, it just adds items to the queue.
How to tell when it's ready
The report status updates in the same section where you requested it: it changes from in progress to ready to download. You don't need to keep the screen open — you can leave and come back later; the file stays available for download for a limited time.
