When you compare a Conekta report with your store or your bank, the time zone decides which day each transaction falls on. Most "one-day" reconciliation differences aren't missing amounts: they are the same transaction recorded with different time criteria.
How Conekta records dates
Reports and the Conekta Panel show date and time in the Central Mexico time zone, consistently with each other. A payment confirmed at 23:50 appears on the day it occurred according to that time zone, no matter where you view it from.
Why your bank or your store may differ
- Your e-commerce platform may record the sale in another time zone (for example, UTC), moving late-night transactions to the next day.
- Your bank records the deposit according to its own operating hours; a payout sent at the end of the day may show up on the next business day.
- Payout cutoffs group payments up to a certain time: a payment confirmed after the cutoff belongs to the next period even if it is from the same day.
Can I change the time zone of my reports?
Reports use a single time zone so that all users on the account see the same thing. If your system works in another time zone, adjust the comparison on your end when importing the file.
Why does a payment from the 1st appear in the report for the 2nd?
It is almost always a transaction close to midnight or to the cutoff time: your system recorded it on one day and Conekta confirmed it on the next. Compare by exact time, not just by date.
