Comparing your monthly sales with your available balance almost always shows a difference, and in most cases there's a normal explanation. These are the most frequent causes and how to verify each one.
- Fees have already been deducted
The balance is calculated on net amounts: each payment's fee is subtracted when it's confirmed. Compare against the net amount in your reports, not against the sale price.
- Part of the money is still pending
Recent payments are still being processed and appear in your pending balance, not your available balance. Check both figures in the Conekta Panel: their sum usually explains the difference.
- There were refunds or chargebacks during the period
Every refund you issued and every dispute you received is subtracted from your available balance. Filter your transaction history by type to see how much they added up to during the period.
- You're comparing different periods
Sales are grouped by charge date, but payouts are grouped by cutoff date. An end-of-month payment may not be paid out until the following period, so a month-to-month comparison rarely matches exactly.
- A recent payout has already been sent
If you just received a deposit, that amount is no longer part of your available balance. Check your payout history before concluding that money is missing.
