An operation goes Under review when the risk analysis found signals that call for additional verification before the result is confirmed. It's neither a decline nor an approval: it's a brief security pause.

What's happening

During the review, the operation's signals are validated in more detail. The process is mostly automatic and requires no action on your part; in specific cases, the risk team may step in with a manual verification.

What you can expect

  • Duration: most reviews are resolved within a few minutes or hours; cases that require manual verification may take longer, usually within the same business day.
  • Updates: the status change is reflected in the operation details in the Conekta Panel; if you have webhooks configured, your system will receive the result notification.
  • Your money: an operation under review isn't credited to your balance until it's approved.

How it can end up

  • Approved: the operation continues its normal flow and is credited like any successful payment.
  • Declined: the verification confirmed a high risk and the operation isn't processed; the customer doesn't receive the final charge.
