As a Partner Center administrator, you can invite people on your team to view or follow up on the portfolio. Each invitation includes a role and, optionally, an account group that limits what that person can see.
Before you start
- You need the administrator role in the Partner Center.
- Have on hand the email of each person you're going to invite.
- Decide each person's role and, if applicable, account group; it's easier to define it when inviting than to fix it later.
Steps
Open the users section
In the Partner Center, go to the users or team section and choose the option to invite a new user.
Enter the email and assign a role
Enter the person's email and select their role: administrator, operator, or read-only. If your portfolio uses account groups, also assign the group they'll be able to view.
Send the invitation
The person will receive an email with a link to create their password. The invitation is valid for a limited time; if it expires, you can resend it from the same screen.
Confirm the first login
When the person completes their sign-up, they'll appear as active in the user list. Check that they see the correct accounts before giving them follow-up tasks.
Common issues
- The invitation doesn't arrive
Ask the person to check their spam folder and confirm the email is spelled correctly. If it expired, resend it from the user list.
- The user doesn't see the expected accounts
Check the assigned account group: if the person was placed in a limited group, they'll only see those accounts. An administrator can change the group at any time.
