Every Partner Center user has a role that defines what they can do with the portfolio. Combined with account groups — which define which accounts they see — the role lets you give each person exactly the access they need.

The roles and what each one allows

  • Administrator: full control of the Partner Center: invites and removes users, assigns roles and groups, signs up accounts, and views all portfolio performance.
  • Operator: handles the day-to-day portfolio work: starts account sign-ups, follows up on pending documentation, and views the performance of their groups. Doesn't manage users.
  • Read-only: views dashboards and reports for the accounts in their groups without being able to start sign-ups or change anything. Useful for management, finance, or audit.

How to choose the right role

  • Reserve the administrator role for very few people: it's the only one that can change access.
  • Use operator for those who sign up businesses or chase documentation.
  • Use read-only for anyone who only needs numbers and statuses.

Partner Center roles vs. roles in each account

These roles apply only within the Partner Center. Permissions within each business's Conekta Panel are independent and managed by the account itself; if you also operate accounts directly, see What roles and permissions exist in Conekta.
