When someone leaves the team or should no longer access the Conekta Panel, remove their access the same day. Only users with an admin role can do this, and it's worth understanding the difference between deactivating and deleting before you choose.
Deactivate vs. delete
- Deactivate: the user loses access immediately, but their record is kept. It's reversible: if the person returns, you reactivate their user with the role you choose. This is the recommended option for regular offboarding.
- Delete: removes access and takes the record off your user list. The account's transaction history isn't lost — actions taken remain on record — but giving access again requires a new invitation.
Steps
En Panel Conekta: Settings → Users
Find the user
Search for the person by name or email in the account's user list.
Deactivate or delete
Open their details and choose the action. In both cases, access is cut off immediately, including any sessions they had open.
Check the list
Confirm that the user appears as inactive or is no longer on the list, depending on the action you took.
Precautions
- You can't delete your own user or leave the account without anyone in an admin role.
- If the person was an admin, review which settings depended on them (notifications, registered contacts) and reassign them.
- If they left on bad terms or there's any suspicion, remove access first and review recent activity afterward.
