When someone on your team changes responsibilities — moving from handling charges to managing finance, or taking over administration — their role in the Conekta Panel should change with them. Only users with an admin role can make this change.

Before you start

  • Confirm that your user has an admin role; otherwise, ask someone who does to make the change.
  • Choose the new role based on what the person actually needs to do (check the role catalog if you're unsure).

Steps

En Panel Conekta: Settings → Users

  1. Find the user

In the Users section, you'll see the list of people with access to the account and each one's role. Search for the user by name or email.

  2. Edit their role

Open the user's details and select the new role. Review the summary of what that role allows before confirming.

  3. Confirm the change

Save. The change applies immediately: if the person has an open session, their new permissions take effect when they reload the Conekta Panel or the next time they log in.

  4. Verify the result

Ask the person to confirm they can see the sections they need — and can no longer see the ones that don't apply to them. The user list should show the new role.

Next step

If the change is because the person is leaving the team, the right move isn't to downgrade their role but to remove their access: see How to delete or deactivate a user.
