Your payouts don't happen at random: they follow a schedule with a frequency defined for your account. Understanding how cutoffs are calculated lets you anticipate your deposits and plan your business's cash flow.
Frequency
Each account has a payout frequency — for example daily, weekly, or on fixed days of the month — set when the account is activated. You can check yours in the payouts section of the Conekta Panel.
How each payout is put together
- Cutoff: on each cutoff date, the available balance accumulated up to that moment is taken.
- Net calculation: refunds, chargebacks, and adjustments for the period are subtracted from the cutoff amount.
- Transfer: the bank transfer is sent via SPEI to your validated bank account, usually on the same business day as the cutoff or the next one.
The role of business days
Payouts are processed only on banking business days. If your cutoff falls on a weekend or holiday, the deposit moves to the next business day. That's why Friday night sales often don't reach your bank until Monday or Tuesday.
What can shift the date
- Bank holidays between the cutoff and the transfer.
- Insufficient available balance: if the net for the period is zero or negative, the cutoff is skipped and the remainder carries over to the next one.
- A bank account that is under validation or was rejected pauses deposits until it's resolved.
- Occasional security reviews of your account or a specific operation.
