If, when you add or change your bank account, the Conekta Panel shows it as rejected, the validation found something that prevents it from being used for your deposits. These are the most common causes and how to fix each one.
- The account holder doesn't match
The bank account must be in the name of the same individual or legal entity registered with Conekta. Accounts belonging to partners, relatives, or another company in the group don't pass validation. Add an account in the correct holder's name or first update the legal information in your Conekta account.
- The CLABE is incorrect
A wrong digit means the CLABE doesn't exist or points to another account. Copy it directly from your online banking or bank statement — avoid typing it from memory — and enter it again.
- The account is inactive or closed
Recently closed, blocked, or dormant accounts may reject the validation transfer. Confirm with your bank that the account is active and can receive SPEI transfers.
- The documents don't match or are illegible
The bank document must clearly show the CLABE and the account holder's name, and match what you entered. Upload a recent, complete, and legible bank statement; cropped images or partial screenshots are usually rejected.
- The bank or account type isn't supported
Some products — such as certain savings accounts or institutions without full SPEI coverage — don't support automatic deposits. Try a checking or debit account at a bank with nationwide coverage.
After you make corrections
Add the account again with the corrected details: each attempt starts a new validation that takes 1 to 2 business days. You can track the result with How to confirm that my bank account was validated.
