The payment details for a bank transfer are valid for a limited time. If the buyer didn't transfer in time, the transaction changes to Expired and those details are no longer valid. The solution is simple: generate new instructions — the expired transaction can't be reactivated.

Steps

  1. Confirm the transaction expired

Find the payment in your Conekta Panel and check its status. If it shows as Expired, no later transfer to those details will complete the purchase.

  2. Generate new payment instructions

Create a new charge for the same item through your usual flow (payment link, Checkout, or your store). Conekta will generate a new CLABE or reference with its own expiration date.

  3. Share the new details with the buyer

Send them the CLABE, the amount, and the new deadline, and explicitly ask them to delete or ignore the previous message with the expired details.

  4. Follow up on the new transaction

The new transaction will show as Pending until the buyer makes the transfer. The expired one stays in your history only as a record.

Next step

If you want to reduce expirations, share the expiration date in the first message: see How to share the correct details for a bank transfer.
