Once your Payment Link is created, collecting payment is as simple as getting it to your customer through the channel where you already talk. This guide covers the most common ways to share it and how to stay organized when you handle several orders.

Before you start

  • Have the link created; if you don't, start by creating it from the Conekta Panel.
  • Check the amount and description: it's the first thing your customer will see.

Steps

  1. Copy the link from the Panel

In the link details you'll find the option to copy the URL. Each link has a unique address.

  2. Choose the channel

    • WhatsApp: the most used; paste the link into the conversation with a short message confirming what the customer is paying for.
    • Email: useful for formal charges; include the description and amount in the body of the message.
    • Social media: share it by direct message. Avoid posting it publicly if the charge is for a specific customer.
  3. Make sure the customer can open it

The customer only needs to open the URL in their browser, without installing anything or creating an account. There they choose their payment method and complete the payment.

Identify each order correctly

  • Use a clear description when creating the link: "Order 1042 — 2 T-shirts" is better than "Payment".
  • For different orders, create different links: reconciling will be much easier.
  • Note which customer you sent each link to if you handle several identical charges.

Next step
