Enhance Your Security with Conekta's List Management Tool (Beta)
At Conekta, we understand the importance of keeping your operations secure and fraud-free. That’s why we’ve developed a new list management tool in our anti-fraud system, designed to give you complete control over who can interact with your system. This feature allows you to efficiently manage whitelists and blacklists, ensuring a secure environment for your transactions.
Key Features
Adding Items to the Allowlist
This feature lets you add trusted email addresses and phone numbers to a whitelist. Items on this list are considered safe and can interact with your system without additional restrictions.
You will find a new option in the Conekta Panel called “Anti-Fraud.” From here, you can manage your Whitelists and Blacklists.
To create a new Whitelist item:
- Go to Lists and click on “Add item.”
- Select the type of List you want to create, in this case, “Whitelist.” Configure the “Type” of item (email address or phone number), add the item to the list, and provide a description for your reference.
- Set an expiration date for the item (24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days)
- Last, click “Add” and the new element will be included into the Allowlist.
Benefits:
- Facilitates smooth access for trusted users, reducing friction and improving the legitimate user experience.
- Ensures that transactions from these users are not flagged by the anti-fraud system, speeding up the payment process.
Important:
While these transactions bypass our anti-fraud filter, it is crucial to validate the trustworthiness of the users on this list to avoid potential chargebacks.
Adding Items to the Blacklist
With this feature, you can add email addresses and phone numbers suspected or confirmed to be risky to a blacklist. Items on this list are automatically denied, preventing any attempts at fraud or unauthorized access.
To add a new item to the Blocklist:
- Go to Lists and select “Blacklist,” then configure the type of item (email address or phone number). Add a description for your reference.
- You can set an expiration date for the Blacklist item or leave it without expiration. To set a date, click on the “Expiration Date” box and select the period.
- Finally, click “Add” to include the item in the Blacklist.
Reviewing Allowlist and Blocklist
You can track the items you’ve created by list type on the main panel. To do this, go to the Lists option within Anti-Fraud. You can select between Whitelist and Blacklist and review the performance of these lists.
Allowlist
- You can review the items you’ve created.
- By clicking on each item, you can see its activity, including the number of times it has been used in processing transactions and the amount approved.
Blocklist
- You can review the items you’ve created.
- By clicking on each item, you can see its activity, including the number of times it has been used in processing transactions and the amount blocked.
List Performance
- In this section, you can analyze the performance of the Whitelist and Blacklist based on the transactions they impacted. You can choose to view only Approved or Declined transactions and customize the date range for analysis.
Benefits
- Enhances security by proactively blocking known threats, protecting your operations from potential fraud.
