Two-step verification adds a second check when you sign in: in addition to your password, the Conekta Panel asks for a one-time code that only you can get. Even if someone obtains your password, they can't get in without that code.
Why it matters
Your Conekta account gives access to financial information and sensitive actions: refunds, bank account changes, user management. Passwords leak more often than you'd think — through phishing, reuse, or shared devices — and two-step verification is the most effective protection against that risk.
How it works
- First step: you sign in with your email and password, as usual.
- Second step: the Conekta Panel asks for a one-time code generated by your verification method (an authenticator app on your phone or a code sent to your email).
- Validity: each code works only once and expires within a few minutes; the next sign-in generates a new one.
When it's requested
With verification turned on, the code is requested when you sign in and may be requested again when there are risk signals: a new device, an unusual location, or a long period of inactivity. On trusted devices, the Conekta Panel may ask less often so it doesn't get in the way of your daily operations.
